Kangal Irandal - Subramanyapuram

My first attempt at a duet song. Thanks to Roshini for sharing this wonderful k-track with the female lead voice retained.

Beautifully composed by the James vasanthan with modern sounds, this song is based on the scale of 'Reethigowlam' as per the composer and has close resemblance to Chinna kannan Azhikkiran song composed by Ilayaraja in the late 70s.
Although the song sounds cute, the visuals picturized with a 80s village backdrop doesn't gel with modern techno sounds and is not very convincing instead some more native Indian instruments like the flute piece in the 2nd bgm would have sounded more authentic.

Nevertheless Kudos to James for giving such a nice melody in this age dominated by soft rock and hip hop styles in tamil film music.
